12 th August 2012 At 4.41 am my beloved son Feroz passed away at University Hospital after a month at wards 11 and 12 Ward Utama UH. It was a very difficult time for him and I too as Feroz was truly suffering from complications of his liver condition. Each day he was either very deep in sleep or very alert and when alert he wanted to get out of bed to go home. His speech was between few clear words and giberish. We had to have 24 hour care givers for him which lasted the last 3 weeks. They were a great help for him and me. Unfortunately I was not at his bedside when his heart stopped. The doctor related his last moments to Joe and I and I saw him still warm. The rest of the morning was one of phone calls and smses as we made preparations for his final resting place. Thanks to Faisal, Razina's husband and the hospital's mortuary, Feroz was bathed and prayed at the mortuary before making way to the burial grounds at Kota Damansara. He was laid to rest at about 11 am. His lot is 1340. Friends and family who came to the mortuary were Paul, Kamal, Amir, Pa, Razina, Faisal, Marina, Laura and at the burial site they were joined by Li Zainun, Zaharah, Cik Wan, Chik and Azmil, Ian, Yue May, Lawrence, Diane, Douglas, Raj and wife and son, Vijay and wife, Sunny and wife, Farouk, Thor, Ari,Fahmi, Balu, Sathish, Suresh, Selva, Siva, Michelle, and more whose names I can't recall. But you know who where there Feroz. Rest well my son. Your cats Foxy, Phoebee and Farah will be with Traffic and Ms Piggy. Today as I write, 23rd August, they are all boarded at Scallywags for a month as Joe and I are at penangpac for 'PAPER CRANE' and 'SHORT+SWEET'. Such is life my darling Feroz. Thor, Fahmi, Joe and I are trying very hard to finish up 'LADDERS IN THE WATER and other Stories' which I truly am sorry you did not see a copy of. But, you will smile I hope when you see it. And today I contacted and informed Christine of your passing. All my love, always. Rest in eternal peace. Meh
